At the KGS Testing Center in Switzerland, we use state-of-the-art equipment to perform safety evaluations and tests for all manner of filter materials and electromagnetic shielding materials.
We continuously perform pre-compliance testing on many of our own products and materials and we offer several tests as a service.
The client is provided with a full report of the testing result, including pass/fail marks on predefined parameters and a KGS quality control seal.
We perform efficiency testing on all kinds of filter materials, but with face masks now being used and compulsory in so many different settings our focus is on testing the performance of various protective face coverings.
We offer a reliable quick-test service that allows commercial customers and distributors of face masks to verify the performance of their products.
For large organizations that traditionally do not buy face masks, it is of paramount importance to make sure that the products you supply to your employees are in compliance with regulations and offer the right protection levels.

Our service provides an efficient and cost-effective way for customers to verify each batch of an ordered product’s performance and for the distributor to demonstrate that each order is of the same quality and in line with relevant standards.
We can also assist buyers in making purchasing decisions by comparing different brands, or by comparing a specific brand to masks of industry-leading brands.
Obtaining certification for filtering half masks or medical face masks is time-consuming and often costly. By performing a pre-certification test of the product on some key performance criteria such as filtration efficiency, breathability and splash resistance, it can be ascertained whether the product is likely to fail certification tests, thus avoiding a costly and ultimately fruitless process.
Now that one of the global priorities is to protect people from COVID-19, it is mandatory in many settings to wear face masks. We offer manufacturers, distributors, retailers and customers a very quick and efficient way to measure the face mask’s performance.
In case of a positive outcome, the client can add the KGS seal of quality to the product or packaging to indicate that the product meets European or national standards regarding breathability and filtration efficiency.
